Meanwhile, after finishing college and developing my career working for a large biotech company, I was looking for freedom from the suit and tie. I also frequently caught myself daydreaming about how I could spend more time in the bee yard like my Dad–or was I just tired of being a worker bee in the corporate world?
Soon, opportunity presented itself when a local beekeeper with over 1,000 hives offered to teach me his trade. Despite close friends and conventional wisdom saying otherwise, I decided to quit my job and take our local beekeeper up on his offer.
I loved spending the long summer days surrounded by thousands of bees, learning about hive management, and witnessing the natural phenomena of bees making honey. But what I really loved was the final product! How could ya’ not love raw, pure, natural, healthy and sweet honey? Out of this experience My Local Honey was born.
Today, my family and my best childhood friend have joined me in bringing you the product I came to love many years ago. To learn how we do this check out The My Local Difference.
